REI Provider Quick Start Training

The REI Authorized Provider Quick Start Training is a 2-hour course that covers the essential information necessary for you to become an REI Authorized Provider. This is great course if you are familiar with REI and only need the basics to get started. Once you complete this course you can add additional course modules to dig in depth in your particular areas of interest.

Like our other online programs the Quick Start course is a self-paced, streaming-video program that allows you to work at your own pace in the convenience of your home or office. This 2-hour training program consists of:

  • 10 video segments totaling 1.5 hours of material.
  • Articles and studies related to REI research.
  • Easy login and logout allows you to train at your own convenience.
  • Short quiz after each session to assure you understand and retain the topic information.

This seminar focuses on auditory rhythm - both its history of use as a therapeutic tool and the science supporting its efficacy - and trains you to implement Rhythmic Entrainment Intervention (REI) into your practice. You will discover the sophistication of REI and how to best meet your clients’ needs using our CDs and programs.

The REI AP training is led by Strong Institute Founder and Director, Jeff Strong. Jeff is also the creator of REI and is the lead researcher and administrator of the therapy. As developer of the entire training program, lead facilitator of the former live training events, and facilitator of the online training, Jeff brings his expertise in the history, science, clinical, and practical therapeutic application of REI directly to the training program.

Learning Objectives: What you will Accomplish in the REI Authorized Provider Quick Start Training

The goal of this seminar is to offer you the basic information necessary for you to be able to provide Rhythmic Entrainment Intervention CDs and programs to your clients. In this course you will:

  • Understand the historic role of auditory rhythm around the world.
  • Comprehend the scientific basis supporting these ancient techniques.
  • Demonstrate how to properly integrate the various REI recordings into your clinical practice.
  • Integrate theory and practice to successfully perform the REI Custom Program Intake and follow -up and exit assessments.
  • Identify a client’s progress and ensure they see the most benefit from REI.

Satisfactory completion of this training authorizes you to provider REI in a clinical setting. Satisfactory completion consists of:

  • Progressing through all 10 video segments.
  • Successfully completing quizes at each video segment.
  • Successfully completing the end of course evaluation.

Note: This training covers the essentials of offering the REI CDs and programs and does not include material on performing REI rhythms in practice. We are working on a training program for building performance skills and protocols. The first course in the series will be available in the first quarter of 2012.
